Iren Avakian was born in Georgia. In that country she got her basic musical education, where from very young age she participated in many concerts,festivals and musical projects as a little singer with big and excellent voice.Finishing musical schools after M. Balanchivadze (2000-pianist) and J.Saralidze (2005- lead vocalist) in Tbilisi, she is eager to get deeper knowledge about native Armenian art due to which in 2008 she was accepted to Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas in professor A. Sarajian’s class. In 2010 she performs her first recital, being a 4-th year student (class: G.Matevosyan) she was admitted at National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre after A. Spendiaryan for a trial period, during her study she has performed in various concerts. In 2013 she has been awarded at “Komitas Vardapet” Pan-Armenian festival for her best participation. In 2015 she becomes the initiator of a charity concert solo program,, Vedreba’’ (Entreaty) dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, which she has represented in Tbilisi and Batumi Armenian Apostolic Churches .
